Vince Maloy was Southern Maryland’s original rockabilly cat. Born and raised in St. Mary’s County, Vince released his first record “Flying Love” in 1957. It is believed that marked the first time a Southern Maryland artist released a rock and roll record.

During the next decade, Vince released a total of six records. Vince appeared on the Milt Grant Show over 40 times, had live radio shows, toured Las Vegas, Puerto Rico and The Bahamas.

Vince left the music business for a career in law enforcement. After retirement, Vince knocked the dust off his old guitar and got back into the studio. Watch some of the session on the VIDEO page, and read about it on the 2001 page.
